PROJECT OVERVIEW

A typo found the door the intended word could not.

BOOJ began when BOOK became BOOJ—one finger, one key to the left. The accident became a form: brief, illustrated jumps that disturb a settled thought and send the next one somewhere less obedient.

The form

Short, sharp provocations designed to be read in sequence or opened at random.

The range

Love, work, money, technology, bodies, memory, art, belief, dishwashers, pirates and zombies all enter the argument.

The current build

Eleven parts and 110 jumps are drafted, each with its own pull quote and visual accomplice. The final ten jumps remain in development.

THE TWELVE-PART STRUCTURE

Everything we keep mistaking for settled.

Parts One through Eleven are drafted. Part Twelve is planned in the locked Contents and remains the manuscript’s final development section.

OFFICIAL BLURB

BOOJ WAS A TYPO. CORRECTING IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE MISTAKE.

One finger landed one key to the left. BOOK became BOOJ. The typo became a word for what happens when one small idea sends the next somewhere unexpected.

Inside are 120 short, sharp, illustrated provocations aimed at everything we keep mistaking for settled.

Love. Work. Money. Sex. Technology. Aging. God. Dishwashers. Pirates. Zombies. And the ordinary nonsense that somehow acquired a policy manual.

Open anywhere. One page may make you laugh. The next may catch an opinion of yours wandering around without identification.

No sermons. No seven-step rescue mission.

NO MERCY FOR LAZY ASSUMPTIONS.

Read one. Bristle. Scribble back. Send it to the person who will understand immediately—and the one who definitely won’t.

BOOJ doesn’t ask for agreement. It asks for ignition.

The word that began by accident now belongs to you.

This is not a book you finish.

It is a book you set loose.

BOOJ it, baby!
